These natural shampoo recipes are for regular use on normal hair. With wonderfully fragrant herbs like chamomile and rosemary and essential oils like almond, you can be sure that you are giving your hair and body the best you can offer.

Natural Shampoo Recipes

Of course, you can always use the commercial shampoos that have ingredients like Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Parfum, Hydrochloric Acid, Hexyl Cinnamal, Paraffinum Liquidum, Tetrasodium EDTA and other laboratory produced chemicals.

Remember that many of these chemicals are new (and more are added all the time) and have no long term testing. You are the guinea pig.

However, ingredients like almond oil, chamomile and rosemary have been around for thousands of years and are still being used today.

These ingredients have certainly stood the test of time and would not be around if they were ineffective and you will find them in our natural shampoo recipes.

There is no doubt that many modern day chemicals offer substantially higher performance than their natural counterparts but the chemical processes involved to produce these higher performance ingredients come at a cost to our bodies and our world ... is it worth it?

What's the point have having beautiful hair but living in a polluted world?

Are the images below something to be proud of?

Is this what we call progress and civilisation?

Civilisation and Progress?

It is time to move forward in equilibrium with our world if humans are going to have a planet to live on in the future. The destruction may not be obvious in our cluttered and busy lives but take some time to look around.

You will be saddened with what you will find.

Only your spending power and actions will make greedy corporates and sleepy Governments wake up and take more responsibility and action to protect this ONLY planet that we have to live on.

Any journey starts with the first step, no matter how small.

Here are some simple natural shampoo recipes that are easy to make, easy to use and provide effective performance without having to add synthetically made chemical ingredients.
