EYE MAKEUP, COSMETICS, MOISTURISER

Why should you use natural advantage eye makeup recipes?

The skin around our eyes is not only stretched millions of times during our lives, but it is also exposed to the sun, it is very thin, has fewer oil glands and, last but not least, it is the part of the face that is “seen” most by other people.

Because of its high visibility status, we become very conscious when wrinkles begin to show or we get puffy eyes from various skin conditions or allergies, that often originate from toxic ingredients in mainstream cosmetics.

One of the most important aspects of natural eye care is to maintain a good level of moisture and hygiene. Because of the thinness of the skin, an essential part of natural advantage eye makeup recipes, is for them to be as as light as possible.

One would want to avoid heavy cosmetics that tend to weigh down this area of the face. These natural advantage eye makeup recipes offer a light feel and the security of only using natural ingredients.

Due to the sensitivity of the eye skin and the location to the eye itself, even when using natural ingredients, we need to take extra care not to include some natural ingredients. One of the important ingredients to avoid are essential oils in any eye care, eye makeup or lip care recipes.

With the few exceptions, there are many natural ingredients that can be used in natural advantage eye makeup recipes. Two of the popular ingredients are Chamomile water, which has a calming and soothing effect on inflamed eyes, and potatoes.

Potato juice or grated potatoes are both soothing and anti-inflammatory. This is a great ingredient to use for bruised eye skin and also for calming puffy eyes.

Taking Care of Your New Product

The products that you make are always fresh and to keep them fresh, there are no preservatives in any of the recipes. Some recipes contain water and others don't. For the ones that do contain water, please note that once water is added, the product becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. Typically, a product will last for around 4 weeks - less in warm temperatures and longer in cool temperatures.

To maximise storage of your products, keep them in the fridge.

These are the basic signs to look out for when the product is starting to spoil :

  • changes colour
  • develops fungal growth
  • smells differently from when you made it
  • changes texture (for example, smooth to lumpy)

Treat your natural products like food. Doing so will go a long way to keeping you safe from bacteria and maximising shelf life without having to use preservatives.

Here are some simple natural advantage eye makeup recipes that are easy to make, easy to use and provide effective performance without having to add synthetically made chemical ingredients.

Simplicity makes it fun

If the ingredients are not available in your country, always check your local laws to make sure that you can import cosmetics into your country - some countries restrict the import of cosmetic ingredients.
